Attractive layout that will integrate any existing Logo artwork and imaging you may already have. If you need Logo artwork, I can help you find a suitable graphic designer to fit your needs.
HTML5 and CSS3 power
The major components of modern websites. HTML, Hyper Text Mark-up Language, controls the structure and content of your website, while CSS, Cascading Style Sheets, controls the way they are displayed and how your design is integrated.
Social Media
Social media is becoming an active force for communication these days. Marketing your business at various sites can help you gain and build an active customer base. Some of the best sites to consider posting to are Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Code
If you need JavaScript or jQuery to be used to gain effects, I have some background in this as well. These scripting languages are often used to add custom event handling within your web page. An example would be if you clicked on a link or button and wanted it to play a sound. They can also be used to add movement to specific parts of your web page. An Example of this would be as you load a page, or even a region of your web page during scrolling, that parts of the page will fade in, or move in from the left or right side of your screen.
JavaScript
All codings are well structured and clear documentation is available in this package.
Bootstrap
Build responsive, mobile-first projects on the web with the world's most popular front-end component library.
Bootstrap is an open source toolkit for developing with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Develop
I can build a website from any CMS you need to use while helping to steer you to the best one for your needs. If you need an industry specific custom CMS, or would rather not use a CMS, I can build that for you too.
Responsive
Websites need to look good on all devices. Most people are using their phones to view the web these days, if your site is not responsive, it's not really a website!!
Cross posting from your Blog to Facebook can be very helpful to marketing and promoting your business.
Cross posting from your Blog to Twitter can be very helpful to marketing and promoting your business.
WordPress
WordPress is a great CMS for small businesses and personal web sites. It gives you very precise control over what you want to present and has a great deal of add-ons, or plug-ins, that will cover pretty much anything you can imagine. There are over 38 million self hosted WordPress sites in the world. That many people cannot be all wrong.
jQuery
jQuery is really a JavaScript Library. They call it ``The Write Less, Do More``. As a coder, I called it the find something, do something approach. It made it really easy to find and HTML object and attach behavior to it. That being said, JavaScript has become much easier to use the past few years and many of the libraries are becoming less and less needed. Still, sometimes jQuery has some really great functionality that makes it a very good solution for your needs.
CMS
A content management system, or CMS, is a software application or set of related programs that are used to create and manage digital content. They can also be used for multiple users who have different permissions to edit various parts of the website.
SEO
Search Engine Optimization. People need to be able to find your website, preferably on the first page of a search result. This can be a constant ongoing endeavor for your website maintenance.
Custom CMS
Do you have an industry specific shopping cart you want to integrate? These types of service providers often offer an in house custom CMS that will run along with your shopping cart. They are typically set up to be very integrated and it is often the best option to use their CMS for your actual web site. I have worked with a couple of these systems and will look forward to learning any system I don't already know. I know it will take me awhile to get up to speed with a new system, but I won't charge you for that. I will charge you a fair rate that would reflect me already having experience with your preferred service provider.
Squarespace
Squarespace is a hosted CMS that is fairly easy to set up. Compared to WordPress, it is much less complicated and it is administrated by Squarespace so you don't have to worry about updates much. I do NOT suggest Squarespace to someone who requires much customization. You can change the style of a page, but if you heavily customize it, you will eventually have problems. Still, they have a decent shopping cart and you can personalize the look with relative ease. If Squarespace is a host you would like to consider, I have worked with them a few times in the past and can easily utilize your existing logo materials and customize the style to suit your needs.
